Digital Signage screens
What are Digital Signage screens?
Digital signage screens are digital displays used to display information, advertising, wayfinding or other content in a dynamic and visually appealing way. They are often used in public places, shops, businesses, schools, hospitals and on public transport.
Features of Digital Signage screens:
- Moving images, videos, animations and live updates attract more attention than static posters or signs.
- Content can be modified and managed remotely via a cloud platform.
- Schedules: you can set which content is displayed on which screen at what time of day.
- Interactive: some screens are touchscreens or work with sensors, allowing users to interact with the content.
- Digital signage screens are suitable for running 16 or 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without the risk of burn-in.
- They also have higher brightness than regular screens, making them clearly legible (especially important in sunlight or at display cases).
Types of digital signage screens:
Digital signage screens come in all sizes and models:
- Indoor
- Semi-indoor (covered)
- Outdoor
- Individual screens, video walls, kiosks, etc.
- LCD, LED, e-ink, ...

What is a Digital Signage CMS?
A Digital Signage CMS (Content Management System) is software that allows you to manage the content displayed on digital signage screens. It is, as it were, the ‘brain’ behind your screen network, allowing you to upload, plan, organise and distribute content to one or more screens.
What can you do with a Digital Signage CMS?
- Uploading content: Images, videos, presentations, news feeds, social media, weather reports, etc.
- Creating schedules: Determining what content will be played when and on which screen.
- Manage screens: You can centrally control multiple screens in different locations.
- Set user rights: Different users can be given different rights (e.g. only upload content, or also publish).
- Reporting and monitoring: Insight into which content has been played, whether screens are online, etc.

What are Digital Signage players?
A digital signage player is a device (hardware or software) that downloads content from the CMS (Content Management System) and plays it on a digital signage screen. You can think of it as the ‘engine’ behind the screen: it ensures that the right images, videos, web pages or other information are displayed at the right time.
There are two main types:
Hardware media players
Small computers such as an Intel NUC, an Android player or a Raspberry Pi that you connect to the screen via HDMI or another connection, to your Wi-Fi or wired network and to the power supply.
Software players
Apps or programmes that run on existing hardware, such as Samsung Tizen screens or LG WebOS screens.
This allows us to offer solutions for both existing screens and new screens equipped with our Digital Signage solutions.
Would you like to know which players are best suited for a particular type of screen or application?
